    An artist's talk, based on creative practices, about design as an exercise of balance between novelty and tradition, understood as a system of references and intertextualities.

    Bio:

    Llopiz-Casal
    (Havana Cuba, 1984)

    Llopiz-Casal is a visual artist that works with installation, performance, photography, video, design and writing, whose creative process consists in translating moods in images, working with history, mass culture and poetry. He has a degree in art history from the University of Havana (2011). He has participated in the collective exhibits "Tócate", Galería Habana, Havana (2013), "La parte maldita", Norweigan Embassy, Havana (2013); "Landlord Colors: On Art, Economy, and Materiality" Cranbrook Art Museum, Detroit (2019); "Cada forma en el espacio es una forma de tiempo que se escapa", Estudio Dagoberto Rodríguez, Madrid (2020). His work is found in collections such as the Cranbrook Art Museum, Detroit. U.S.; the Eva-Lotta Holm Flach (Flach Galleri) Stockholm, Sweden; Michael Delahunt.
