Bio:

Born in Australia, he has studied at the Universities of Adelaide, Toronto and Cambridge. Keane is Professor of Political Theory at the University of Sydney and Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (WZB). He is currently the director of the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (IDHR).
