    In our program today, Professor Sergio Ortiz will help us reflect on the evolution of totalitarian regimes of Stalinist origin.


    Biografテュa:

    Doctor in Research in Social Sciences (mention in Political Science) from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Academic Headquarters of Mexico). Graduate and Master in Political Science from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Member of the National System of Researchers (Level 1). Full-Time Professor-Researcher at the Academy of Political Science and Urban Administration of the UACM. Subject Professor at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM. He has published the book: In defense of the Republic. Lessons in Republican Political Theory (Mexico, Ediciones Coyoacán, 2014) and coordinated the collective book, together with Julieta Marcone and Ángel Sermeño: Los vertigos de la Política: A review from Modernity (Mexico, Ediciones Coyoacán, 2012). He has published more than 100 articles and/or essays in collective books, magazines specialized in Political Science and Political Theory and popular magazines. His lines of research in the area of Political Theory are: Theory of Democracy; Republicanism and Liberalism; and State, Market and Civil Society. He was director of the magazine Andamios and founder and deputy director of the magazine Metalítico.
