    Synopsis:

    The environmental and LGBTIQ+ activist reflects on autonomy, his relationship with state and official institutions through his project Guardabosque, which coordinates specific environmental actions and a fanzine, and about rupture and independence, as well exile.

    Bio:

    Isbel Díaz Torres was born March 1, 1976 in Pinar del Río, Cuba. He is a biologist, researcher, writer and activist in projects at the community and national level dealing with human and LGBTIQ rights and the environment. A cultural, social and political advocate with emphasis on social autonomy and horizontal organization, he has coordinated the action and education projects of El Guardabosques and is an activist in the Red Observatorio Crítico and Proyecto Arcoiris.

    He has dedicated over 20 years to literary creation and writes essays, articles and commentaries on cultural and ecological issues for a variety of publications. He has published the following books of poetry: Pasaron sombras y otras cosas, Banco de Ideas Z, 1994. Oboe, Ediciones Extramuros, 2005, Epígono, Ediciones Extramuros, 2010.
