Synopsis:
A conversation with Ileana de la Guardia, daughter of Coronel Antonio de la Guardia, executed by firing squad together with General Arnaldo Ochoa on July 13 1989, in the trail known as Cuba´s Causa #1. Ileana shares her memories of her father, his secret work for the Cuban government, the tribulations of that generation of military regarding the path that the revolution was taking and the leadership of Fidel Castro, as well as the ties between the Cuban state and drug trafficking.
Bio:
Daughter of Coronel Antonio de La Guardia, niece of the general of intelligence in Africa, Patricio de La Guardia. Both were subjected to an unlawful and arbitrary trial in July 1989, which resulted in the execution by firing squad of her father and the imprisonment of her uncle. Following these events, Ileana underwent harassment and persecution by the SE, which forced her to flee the country. Ileana de La Guarda is a Cuban neuropsychologist, exiled in Paris since 1991.
