    Synopsis:

    A conversation with Rosa María Payá, daughter of the opposition leader Oswaldo Payá Sardiñas, founder of Proyecto Varela. Rosa María shares her experience growing up with a family stigmatized for dissenting with the Cuban government. She tells us about the constant harassment she was subjected to (boycotts, accidents, interrogations, vandalism, exile), the death of her father and her work with Cuba Decide.

    Bio:

    María Rosa Payá (Havana, January 10, 1989) is the daughter of Oswaldo Payá, founder of the Movimiento Cristiano Liberación who died in a 2012 car crash, its cause unclear. Rosa María is a Cuban human rights activist with a degree in physics from the University of Havana, and a graduate of the Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) Global Competitive Leadership Program and Summer Institute on the Constitution. She is the leader of the platform Cuba Decide.
