    Sinopsis:

    Program dedicated to the Living Statues of Old Havana. The actors Andrés Pérez and Isaac Ribera talk about their experience, tell anecdotes about what the work of a street artist is like in the city. It talks about the movement of living statues in Cuba, beginnings and path.

    Bio:

    Andrés Pérez
    (Havana, 1966)

    An actor with a great career, he began in the theater in 1986. He was under the orders of maestro Vicente Revuelta in the productions La zapatera prodigiosa (1997) by Federico García Lorca, Café Brecht (1998) and Pasos by Lope de Rueda. In the year 2000 he was part of the cast in the show La vida es sueño directed by maestro Carlos Celdrán for Argos Teatro. He is the founder of the Gigantería Street Theater Company in 2000, where he worked in different shows such as Ceiba y Tiñosa (2001), The incredible and great story of the adventures of the knight Sir William and his kimbado squire against the furious dragon Tribilín ( 2003), La Máquina (2004), Bird in hand does not bite (2005), Dream of a San Juan party (2007), among others. He ventured into the cinema in the feature films 7 Days in Havana (2012) and Venice (2014), the latter directed by Kike Álvarez. We were able to enjoy it as part of the cast of the staging of Balada del pobre B.B., directed by Alexis Díaz de Villegas for Impulso Teatro. For several years he has been working alone as a living statue in Old Havana, with his emblematic character of the Knight of Paris.

    Bachelor of theater art graduated from Isa. I have worked in different groups such as: Escambray Mountain Integral Artistic Ensemble (2003 to 2005), Korimakao Community Artistic Ensemble (2005 to 2009), Cimaron Theater (2009), La Chiche Theater Studio (2009 to 2010), Giganteria Group (2010 to 2011) I started my solo career from 2011 to the present collaborating with different groups, I have worked in festivals, workshops, congresses and I have organized street art events, in 2010 I made a fiction short with the San Antonio film school de los baños (Spaguetti Clown) together with the actor Mario Guerra, as a street artist I have carried out and advised street theater works, since 2012 I began to dedicate myself to the world of living statues in a more professional way until today.
