    Synopsis:

    A conversation with Victor Alfonso Cedeño, architect, scriptwriter, animator and director. Victor had to abandon the island when he was denied access to medical attention and condemned to die from a disease that was curable. Alfonso Cedeño tells the story of the abuses he experienced after being diagnosed with cancer at the Havana Institute of Oncology.

    Victor did not give up and began a long process of fighting to receive treatment in the United States. Having finally found a path to fight for his life, Victor had to face the Cuban medical institutions to request the necessary documentation that would enable his transfer to the United States. He was denied these documents, and accused and humiliated during the process.

    Finally, Victor managed to travel, but did so knowing that he would be denied return entry into his country of origin as a punishment for the public demands and accusations.


    Bio:

    Víctor Alfonso graduated with a degree in architecture in 2007. He began working as an animator in 2009 with his 6 episode miniseries Dany y el Club de Los Berracos. He made the animated short Lavando Calzoncillos. He is currently working on the animated web series Yesapín García. Cositas Malas is his first fiction short and was selected to participate in the Talent Coproduction Meeting as Talent Director at the 10th edition of Talents Guadalajara.
