    Synopsis:

    A conversation with Yanelys Núñez Leyva, activist, curator and feminist, member of MSI. On this occasion, our guest talks to us about her experiences as an activist and cultural promoter in Cuba, which includes the creation of the Museo de la Disidencia, the organization of the 00 Bienal de la Habana and her participation in MSI. She talks to us about her decision to exile in Spain and the continuation of her activism from new spaces and perspectives.

    Bio:

    Curator, art critic, feminist and member of the Moviemiento San Isidro (MSI). Núñez Leyva is also the co-author, together with the artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, of the Museo de la Disidencia in Cuba, a platform that establishes spaces for dialogue and artistic creation. She was an organizer of the #00Bienal de La Habana, in 2018, as a response to the erroneous decision of the Ministry of Culture to postpone the 13th edition of the official biennial. She has participated in international forums such as Creative Time and Forum 2000. She is part of the editorial team of the feminist magazine Alas Tensas and coordinates the project´s gender violence observatory. She also coordinates, together with Agnes Koleman and Nonardo Perea, the feminist space Las Afueras for Diario de Cuba.
