    Bios:


    Karime C. Burzac, Furtive Editions

    (Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, 1972). Cuban-American editor and speaker, cultural promoter, translator and human rights activist. He studied English Language and Literature at the Universidad de Oriente, and after his exile in the United States, he graduated from the University of Western Michigan (B.A., 2006) and earned a master's degree in education from Carlos Albizu (M.Ed., 2014). His publishing activity began in the early 1990s as editorial assistant at Claras Luces, a magazine on culture and literature in Cuba. was speaker at the ALDE Conference: 'Roadmap towards a democratic Cuba - Role of civic society', in the European Parliament, in Brussels, Belgium in 2015 and delegated to the VII Summit of the Americas, in Panama that same year. In 2019 he founded Ediciones Furtivas19, LLC. Under his direction Ediciones Furtivas has published 15 titles and made 4 international presentations in Quito, Ecuador and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She was an exhibitor at the Book Fair of Miami, 2021 and 2022 and endorses and promotes literature.


    Maricel Mayor Marsán, Baquiana Editions

    (Santiago de Cuba, 1952). Poet, narrator, playwright, lecturer, literary critic, editor, translator and teacher. She has a degree in History and Education (1976), a degree in Sciences Politics (1976) and has a master's degree in Public Administration (1977) from the University Florida International, Miami, Florida, USA. He is a Full Member of the Academy American Institute of the Spanish Language (ANLE) and corresponding member of the Royal Academy Spanish (RAE). In 2018, she was elected a corresponding member abroad of the Academy Venezuelan Language (AVL). In 1999, he co-founded the Baquiana Literary Magazine of which he is since then director of the Editorial Board of its digital and printed version.
