    Synopsis:

    Conversation with Pablo Díaz Espí, son of the renowned Cuban novelist, filmmaker and screenwriter Jesús Díaz and founder of the independent newspaper Diario de Cuba. On this occasion, Pablo Díaz tells us what it meant to grow up being the son of one of the main Cuban novelists post 1959. Relations with his father, the family decision to leave Cuba in 1991, life as a Cuban migrant in Europe (Germany, Spain). and the United States. His beginnings in the independent Cuban press in exile with his participation in the digital newspaper Encuentro en la Red from 2000 to 2009, and his subsequent departure to found his own newspaper Diario de Cuba along with other intellectuals.

    Bio:

    Pablo Díaz Espí

    Journalist, writer and editor. In 1991 he left Cuba with his family for Germany, where he studied at the German Film and Television Academy. Since then he has lived between Berlin, New York and Madrid. He was director of the digital newspaper Encuentro en la Red between 2000 and 2009. That same year he abandoned the project and founded Diario de Cuba, a medium that he still directs. Pablo Díaz is also the son of renowned Cuban novelist, filmmaker and screenwriter Jesús Díaz, who passed away in 2002.
