    Bio:

    Jesús Barquet, La Mirada Editions.

    (Havana, 1953). Poet, critic and literary researcher and university professor. Is teacher Emeritus from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, where he has resided since 1991. He has a PhD in Spanish from Tulane University. He has published the books of essays Consecration of Havana (Gold Letters Award from the University of Miami 1991), Poetic Writings of a nation: Dulce María Loynaz, Juana Rosa Pita and Carlota Caulfield (Lourdes Casal Prize 1999) and Theater and Cuban Revolution: Subversion and utopia in “The Seven Against Tebas” by Antón Arrufat (2002); as well as the collections of poems Without saying the sea (1981), Sacred heresies (1985), Icarus (plaquette, 1985), The Book of the Exiled (1994), The Book of Heroes (plaquette, 1994), Un no Broken Dream (1994), Naufragios (1998)—in bilingual edition, Naufragios/Shipwrecks (2001)—, Without an Extinction Date (2004) and the compilation Corpos del delirio (poetic summary, 1971-2008), in 2010. He has been editor and anthologist of numerous projects, among which Ediciones El Puente stands out in Havana from the 60s. Critical readings and poetry books (Ediciones del Azar, Chihuahua, Mexico, 2011). He is director of Ediciones La Mirada.

    Yoandy Cabrera, Kýrne.

    (Pinar del Río, Cuba, 1982). Poet, critic and researcher and university professor. He is a doctor in Hispanic Studies from Texas A&M University. He works as a professor of Department of Languages, Philosophy, Religion and Cultures, and assistant professor of Spanish and classics at Rockford University, Illinois. He was a founding member of the editorial board from Upsalón magazine, from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the UH. He has published the collection of poems Autumn He has kissed me (Ediciones Loynaz, 2003) and is co-author of Classical Ballet and Greco-Latin Tradition in Cuba (Advana Vieja, 2019) and editor of the bilingual anthology Equívocos/Misconceptions. Poets Cubans at the beginning of the 21st century (Kýrne, 2021). He directs Kýrne editions.

    Aleisa Ribalta, Alfaro.

    (Havana, 1971). Poet, translator and cultural promoter. She is an engineer and lives in Sweden. since 1998 where he works as a teacher of Graphic Interface Design, Web Design and Application Programming. He has published the collections of poems Talud (Ekelecuá Ediciones, 2018) —also published in a bilingual Spanish-Catalan edition as Talús / Talud (Bokeh, 2018)— and Board (Verbo(des)Nudo, Chile, 2019). Coordinates La libélula Vaga, a digital notebook where They promote authors from all over the world and literary translations. She is the director of the publishing house Alfaro.

    Alberto Sicilia, ClassicSubversive.

    (Cabaiguán, Cuba, 1966). Poet, essayist and cultural promoter. He has resided in the United States since 2013. Joined. In Cuba he was a member of the advisory board and/or manuscript reader of the Editorials: Luminary, Thirst for beauty, Queen of the sea and Capiro. He directs, together with Gabriel Cartaya, the publishing house SurcoSur, attached to the Surco Sur magazine of the University of South Florida. He has published the poetry books The green truck (Cuban Letters, 1994), In favor of the rock (Sancti Spíritus, Luminaria Editions, 1998), Traveling to the South (Reina del Mar Editores, 2006) and Miniature with abyss (Cuban Letters, 2009). In 2020, he founded the multicultural project ClassicSubversive and It includes the publishing house and a magazine of the same name.
