    Synopsis:

    Conversation with the Cuban political scientist and independent journalist Dimas Castellanos Martí, who has a long career in activism and political opposition to the Cuban regime. On this occasion, Dimas Castellanos tells us the most significant moments in his history, his beginnings in the Socialist Youth, his studies in the USSR and the evolution of his critical views of the Cuban reality. He also tells us the details of his attempts to be expelled from the University of Havana, the memories of his participation in the internationalist mission to Ethiopia, his participation in political opposition organizations in Cuba from the 1990s to the present, and the moments of repression that he has experienced at the hands of the Cuban government.

    Bio:

    Dimas Castellanos Martí

    Dimas Castellanos Martí has a degree in Political Science from the University of Havana. He is a member of the academic council of the Center for Coexistence Studies. He was a professor of Marxist philosophy at the Faculty of Economics and at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Havana, ISCAH. He was a founder and member of the Cuban Democratic Socialist Current (CSDC) organization and participated in the Reflection Table of the Moderate Opposition of Cuba. As an independent journalist, he has collaborated with the media "Encuentro en la Red" and "Diario de Cuba". He is the author of the book "La Revolución Facasada" (Hypermedia, 2017), and co-author and co-editor of the book "Cuba" (ABC CLIO, 2013 ).
