Synopsis:
Mi alma azul shows the lives of transgender people who were born female and manifest visible masculinity or disagree with their biological sex and gender identity, and the treatment offered by the Cuban state to people in this community who decide to modify their physique. Such treatment is recognized by most as changing from female to male.

DIRECTOR'S BIO:

Liam Duran Cardona is a visual artist, writer, creator and national coordinator of the first network of transmasculine people from Cuba: Alma Azul. With the documentary Mi alma azul, he made his debut as an audiovisual director. After making this documentary he settled in Belgium.
