Emmanuel Martin is a filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and journalist. He graduated from the Manuel Fajardo University, in Santiago de Cuba, and he also worked as a theater actor. At the San Antonio de los Baños International Film School, he participated in the Documentary, Filmmaking and New Views workshops. As a director, screenwriter, and actor, he has made: Santiago City (2004), La otra película del sábado, Nosotros los malos (2006), New York 2013 (2007), La prueba (2008). X and Professor; Adiós para siempre, preciosidad (2017), La V de la victoria (2019), Historias de ajedrez (2019) was screened at the 2019 Veracruz World Film Festival, THE INDIE FOR YOU FILM FESTIVAL, The-Best-DRAMA-Film-Festival, 12 Months Film Festival, the Lift-Off Global Network First-Time Filmmaker Sessions, 5th SACRAMENTO UNDERGROUND FILM & ARTS FESTIVAL, California, LIFFY 2020, Latino & Iberian Film Festival at Yale, and the Belize International Film festival, among others.
He has received an Honorable Mention, Veracruz World Film Festival, Mexico, Marcel Sisniega Special Award.
